Hello, I don’t usually write hotel reviews as hotels and hotel service is something every patron should receive. It is expected. However, the reason I’m taking the time to write this review is because the employees of Trillium Westin that went above and beyond what we expected and truly made us feel important. I would like to applaud 3 people specially, who I thought really showed an interest in making sure our stay was extraordinary. The first being Justin Marchello, who noticed our SPG loyalty when choosing our hotels and without being asked, honoured us with an extra special upgrade and told us about it before our arrival, simply from a question that was asked about the breakfast benefit. The 4 of us were so excited. My husband is a platinum memeber , and we know with that comes a few benefits, like room upgrades if available. But Justin went the extra distance to give us something that we would not normally receive, just so the 4 of us would be comfortable. Well, we were more than comfortable.. We were ecstatic and felt important. Hoverver, I felt as though, if something is available he would offer the same service to anybody and that really makes people feel special. An upgrade or any extras given, make your visit so much nicer. Thank you Justin The second was Brian, who brought our bags up and took a GENUINE interest in our visit with conversation about things for us to do, what our plans were, dinner suggestions, breakfast and so much more. He Explained everything in the room and asked if there was anything he could get for us before he left. Then came up promptly with our requests. That wasn’t all. We had mentioned that we would be heading into the village in the evening; What we found really interesting is that when we were heading into the village we walked out the front door and Brian was there. He said hello ladies, did you change your mind about going to the village? We said no why, and he said the village is that way and pointed to the other direction. We were headed to the car first which is why we were going that way but he didn’t know that and stopped make sure we were going in the right direction. Now if you ask me, I’d say that remembering that conversation , and stopping was impressive, as I’m sure many checked in after us. Ive not received that kind of service anywhere and that deserves a shout out. Thanks Brian. Unfortunately, there was someone else who brought us a new coffee maker in the morning, but I didn’t take not of his name. But upon checkout he noticed us and came up to ask if the new one worked ok and if our stay was comfortable. Who does that, most just do the job and that’s it. We’ve stayed at a lot of Starwood hotel, believe me when I tell you that The trillium Westin is one of a kind. They should all follow by your example....but then I’d have to write a lot of reviews. I don’t know if this is something you’ve trained your staff to do or they are all just really nice people who make you feel special. Either way, Kudos to 3 that made us feel important and to your beautifully kept hotel. Platinum or not, we will be sure to come back. If you’re planning a trip to Collingwood, I highly recommend this hotel. Room 442, 2 bedroom suite was the great and had a terrific view. Near the elevators and across from the ice machine. Normally, I stay away from proximity to these, but we had no issue with noice. Thanks so much for being Extraordinary
